CAMP LOCATION: We are located just outside the Washington, DC beltway, 18 miles from the White House
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Sonshine's Leader-in-Training (LIT) and Counselor-in-Training Programs equip teens with leadership skills they can use through�out their lives. Teens will learn important leadership skills, such as:
�Teamwork
�Responsibility
�Communication
�Problem solving
�Community Service
�And many more!
We teach these vital life skills in a safe environment through fun and challenging group leadership sessions as well as hands-on experience working with kids alongside trained counselors. LITs and CITs help maintain group control, create a safe environment, and assist in activities while putting their leadership skills into practice.
This well-renowned program is approved for student service learning hours as required for High School graduation. Teens have also used this type of leadership experience to put on applications to such organizations as the National Honor Society and various colleges.
