CAMP FACILITIES: 8 cabins that sleep 12 with bunk beds, three sinks, two showers and two toilets in each cabin. Pavilions, lake, 100 foot water slide, riding arena, and play areas. Ample outdoor recreation areas!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The program is designed to specifically meet the needs of the children we serve. Our goals are to teach the Bible in a way that allow our population to "get it", to provide an atmosphere that is uplifting and encouraging, to introduce campers to activities that will provide lifelong hobbies and recreational interests, and to provide campers with opportunities for social interaction with others who share similar issues in life. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have a one week Christ Servant Program during Session 8 for previous campers. This program is by invitation only.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Family Camps are weekend long events that bring the whole family together. Adults will have the opportunity to hear a speaker on a specific topic, while the children will participate in camp recreation activities. There will also be time for whole family activities. Additionally families will be able to enjoy time around the campfire getting to know other families.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Charis Hills offers 8 one week session from June through August. These sessions can be added together for up to three weeks of summer camp fun. Charis Hills additionally holds family camp weekends each year in the fall and spring.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Charis Hills is a non-denominational independent Christian camp. All are welcome! We do teach basic Christian principles but do not enter into denominational differences. Many who attend are not "churched" for multiple reasons. The founders are both masters level teachers with experience dealing with many different disabilities, some, for more years than they care to admit. This camp was built and program designed specifically to serve this population. We try to meet the campers where they are in their journey. We are "drumming to the beat of a different marcher". CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We offer a CIT (Counselor in Training) program for 15-16 year olds who are looking to take the next steps to becoming a counselor. This is a three week program, the first two weeks the CITs will spend training and doing activities/team-building games to get them ready for the last week which they spend shadowing current counselors and working directly with younger children at our other two camps!

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The YMCA is a not for profit organization and we raise money every year to help EVERY FAMILY find a way to send their children to camp. We offer scholarships for our Summer Camp programs, the Scholarship Application is available online.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SMC is designed for singers and modern rock band instrumentalists. Our vocalist track will teach students proper breathing and singing techniques, using chorale, show tunes, and a cappella pieces. Our rock band track is created specifically to challenge singers and students on drums, piano/keys, ukulele, bass, acoustic, and electric guitar players.

CAMP FACILITIES: We are situated on 100 acres with two venues used for our campers. We have over 25 lesson and trail horses that are amazing for beginners and more advanced riders. We are the trailhead of over 30 miles of lakeside trails maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. We ride those trails daily and in our camps.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers will enjoy a hands-on learning experience. We begin with feeding horses, learning all about horse safety, grooming, anatomy, and tacking up. They will learn the basics of riding in a Western saddle, an English saddle, and even get on bareback. Every day we will introduce them to something new about horses, so If they didn't get to come the day before, that's okay. Campers will also enjoy hayrides, arts & crafts, fun activities, & all sorts of fun outdoor games. Our Camp is a great introduction to horses. It is not an all-day riding event. However, everyone does get to experience riding Western, and English riding when they attend a full camp.

We focus on a fun, hands-on experience with horses, to give children a glimpse into what it is like to care for, ride and safely experience horses.

Our goal is to provide a camp that is safe, informative, and fun.

We divide the days between hayrides, arts & crafts, riding, grooming, and on hot Summer days, bathing the horses.

The Riding School will introduce young riders to the amazing world of horses. We will focus on the fundamentals of horseback riding while having fun in various activities. Young horse enthusiasts will learn the joys of riding Western, English, and even bareback. They will brush, groom, feed, and learn the anatomy of horses. They will have fun with arts and crafts, go on hayrides, explore the barns, and much more. It’s the perfect introduction to horses in a super fun and safe environment.

OTHER CAMP INFO: In our Riding Academy for kids 8 years old and older, campers will spend one on one, with their very own horse. Start the day feeding, grooming, and getting to know your horse. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:

CAMP FACILITIES: Natural stone cabins, swimming pool, newly resurfaced tennis courts, baseball/softball field, soccer and football field, dining hall, 2 large gyms, acres of Guadalupe river-front, rustic amphitheater and outdoor chapel.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our summer camps Rio Vista for boys and Sierra Vista for girls offer over 40 exciting and challenging activities that campers choose from. Every camper gets to choose 8 or 9 activities depending on the term that make up their personalized schedule. This allows each camper to focus on the activities and skills he/she is most interested in developing. Horseback Riding and Swimming classes are assigned according to skill level and some sports are also divided by age and skill level. We want campers to learn skills, and have fun in a safe supervised environment while interacting with other campers and staff. Classes are approximately one hour and campers will participate in two or three activities in the mornings depending on the term and two in the afternoons, alternating four or five on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and another four or five on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our 17 year olds who are too old to be a camper but not yet counselor age have the opportunity to join the C.I.T. Program where they will learn leadership skills, teaching ideas, and have a great time transitioning into counselors.

Anne Marie currently is music/fine arts teacher at Moore Elementary School in Arlington and is also an associate director of the Arlington Children's Chorus. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: STAND Performing Arts Ministry is a non-profit 501(c)3 that is dedicated to encouraging kids in the gifts and talents God has given them. At STAND, we believe that we are Created to Create, therefore we empower kids in their identity by encouraging them to be all that they are created to be. Our Staff not only consists of amazing, dedicated, and relational teachers that love Christ and the kids, but they also excel in their professions through years of musical, theatre, or dance experience and education. Through this foundation, STAND Summer Camps are designed to provide a fun and safe place for kids to express themselves, and a supportive environment to learn from professionals while working toward an end product.

CAMP FACILITIES: The camp is located in Cowden Hall, which is the music building on campus which houses the Reynolds Auditorium, sound-proof practice rooms. An added feature is that we are an All-Steinway School! We have male and female dorms and a recreation/aerobic center.

CAMP FACILITIES: Many of the buildings date back to the 1930's when Mo-Ranch was a working ranch and a family vacation location for the Moran family. Loma Linda is the lodging for our Summer Campers and has stayed true to its original purpose - housing for the youth programs. Loma Linda is air-conditioned and has four separate living areas with community bathrooms.

We have a high and low ropes course, indoor climbing wall, archery range, sports fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, outdoor cooking area, a Riverview nature classroom, a Youth Plaza, a swimming pool, and of course, the cool headwaters of the Guadalupe River. Our waterfront is designated for an awesome swimming experience with our famous Mo-Slide, a a rope swing, canoeing, kayaking, and playing in the rapids of the Guadalupe.

Meals are served in a modern cafeteria style dining hall. We call it the King Dining Hall. Our infirmary a fully equipped with a an available nurse twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week during our Summer Camp season.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mo-Ranch Summer Camp provides a place where campers can feel safe and comfortable with their peers while being challenged, discovering, and growing in their relationship with Christ. The love of Christ is not only heard and read but also experienced throughout all of our activities: whether it be at the high ropes challenge course, while canoeing down the river, or mountain biking along our trails. Through developing independence and self-confidence, building strong relationships, experiencing new activities, and positive role modeling from the staff, we demonstrate the heart of the gospel message. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: SALT (Service and Leadership Training) campers will have the opportunity to serve the greater camp community while learning ways to engage others in team building initiatives, problem solving, communication and servant-hood. Putting leadership skills into actions, SALT campers will be partially responsible for the mini-campers and will help with the daily ministry operations of the camp. High ropes, including the zip-line and power pole as well as mountain biking, along with other traditional camp activities round out the week of fun and spiritual growth as a SALT participant.

Gilmont Interns participate in a two week camp experience. The first week, they participate with the SALT program and the second week they serve more in an assistant counselor role. If participant is 16 years old the first day of camp, they must have gone through the SALT program. Interns learn teaching techniques; go through discussions in delivery of low ropes course initiatives; help plan and deliver vesper services with guidance from the Spiritual Adviser; plan and teach with one other intern and program staff activities in the second week; take part in and understand all specialty camps; and, discover the fun and responsibilities of becoming a counselor.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Circle of Friends Camp is for children with developmental disabilities and their families. Because of the generosity of others, it is a free weekend to all who attend. SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Gilmont’s Summer Staff consists of students between the ages of 18 and 25. They are young adult role models that serve as the backbone for our summer. They care for the campers 24/7, facilitate recreation, participate in Bible study... and ... let's just say they do pretty much everything that needs to happen to make camp run and be fun.

CAMP FACILITIES: There are air conditioned facilities for up to 50 – also a large meeting and eating hall and various recreation areas. There is also a 4 bedroom, 2 bath home available for short notice/short term use. The sleeping facilities include a 24 person bunk house, 6 cabins and a railroad caboose.
